In your opinion which is the best free forum script?

There are a lot of free forum scripts available on the net.

# phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com)
# PunBB (http://www.punbb.org)
# Phorum (http://www.phorum.org)
# Beehive Forum (http://www.beehiveforum.net): SourceForge.net Project
# IceBB (http://icebb.kenkarpg.info)

There are many other forum's scripts which are free to use. As you can see there are a lot of options to choose from but my vote to phpBB. There are many reasons to choose this:

1. Many mods/Hecks available
2. Skins/styles can be found for this BB
3. Support is gr8
4. Developing very fast. The developers of phpBB keeps adding new features all the times.
5. Bugs are fixed very quickly.
6. They have quite active forum where users are more than willing to help you.

phpbb is installable from Fantastico., makes for really easy install.

For free forum script I would have to pick phpBB but, my overall choice would be vbulletin. (The forum script on this site.)

vBulletin is my all time favourite but as this member asked for free BB script I suggested phpBB.

I've tried many, but still remain faithfull to phpBB. I like it and I think it's a good script. With some care you can even solve all the security issues.

phpBB's good for the free forum. It's kinda easy to use for many users. Personally I liked the invision board but then it's.. you know.. a bit pricey..
